Collections
Grouped by what's actually happening, not by keyword. Each collection is short on purpose — between eight and fifteen, because a list of a hundred is a list nobody reads to the end.
Ordinary days
- Nothing happened and it was lovely.
- Tuesday, doing its best.
- The good kind of uneventful.
- I made soup. That's the update.
- Small day. Counted anyway.
Walks
- Same bench, different year.
- Took the long way on purpose.
- Six miles and one opinion, now resolved.
- Went out for air, came back with a plan.
- The hill won, but only just.
Moving house
- Everything I own, in eleven boxes and one bin bag.
- New postcode, same mugs.
- Day one: the kettle knows where it lives.
- Still finding the light switches by feel.
Birthdays you'd rather skip
- Another one. Fine. Cake helps.
- Thirty-eight. Reader, I coped.
- Low-key by design, not by accident.
Small wins
- Finished the thing I'd been avoiding since March.
- Made the call. It took four minutes.
- Kept a plant alive for a whole year.
Older collections are in the archive. A few of them I've marked as dated, because language moves and some of these now sound like 2020.
