There is no sign-up, no newsletter, no form, and no analytics on this site. I could not tell you how many people read it, and I've made peace with that.

Server logs

The web server records requests — IP address, time, page, browser string — as every web server does. They're deleted automatically after seven days and I don't look at them unless something breaks. Lawful basis: legitimate interest in running the site securely.

Email

If you write to me, I keep the message while the matter is live and generally no longer than a year. I don't add anyone to any list, because there is no list.

Fonts

Typefaces load from Google's font service, which means a request carrying your IP address goes to that service. Nothing else on the page comes from a third party — no maps, no embedded video, no social buttons.

Your rights

You can ask what I hold, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, at hello@captionsguruji.com. If you're unhappy with the response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
